Business Development Manager (Windrush Fleet)

Realistic OTE £50,000 plus car & benefits

The role of Business Development Manager is to promote and sell Volkswagen cars to Local Business (1-24 car fleets), SME (25-99 car fleets) and Public Sector / NHS fleets, within their Retailer area of influence.

Reporting to the Fleet Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing incremental local business sales to improve Volkswagen’s penetration in to the True Fleet Market, and establish lasting local relationships that deliver increased aftersales opportunities, customer retention and loyalty for both the Retailer and the Brand.

The Role

  • To identify and proactively develop new relationships with prospect customers, and through an effective sales process deliver incremental True Fleet sales within a defined local area of influence
  • To manage the local business opportunity within the local area of influence and record all prospecting activity through the Fleet Business Partner online portal and Retailer CRM database
  • To conduct agreed levels of telephone prospecting activity to new prospects, to deliver the required volumes of first appointments, demonstrations and proposals to achieve the agreed incremental sales objectives
  • To promote Volkswagen Financial Services funding solutions to new prospects, to help achieve sales objectives, increase profitability and improve customer retention
  • To ensure the Fleet Business Partner online portal and Retailer CRM database contains the minimum  information for each qualified prospect and customer, as defined by the Fleet Sales Excellence Programme
  • To work in conjunction with the Retailer aftersales department (post sale) to ensure the highest standards of customer care, to increase Brand loyalty and aid customer retention
  • To work with the Fleet Sales Excellence Coach and i-Coach to improve and enhance the sales process and achieve true differentiation for the sales process for Volkswagen customers; that will establish Volkswagen as one of the top-five manufacturers for customer satisfaction, and help achieve a True Fleet Market share of 17.8% in the UK by 2014

The Person
The successful candidate will need to be self-starting, competitive, imaginative, direct, influential, persuasive, resilient and self-confident as well as possessing the following skills:

  • Have proven business development skills, through achievements in generating new business in a similar role
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with particular focus on negotiating across a broad range of audiences (user chooser / driver, Fleet Manager, Finance / Managing Director, Owner / Proprietor).
  • Be able to build rapport and maintain long term positive relationships with customers and prospects through face to face meetings and over the phone

Sales Executives required

Realistic ote £40,000 - £50,000 plus car & benefits

The Persons
This is a hands-on role and the person appointed will:

  • Have achieved a good standard of education, preferably to A-level or above
  • Possess a stable career in direct sales with an outstanding record of sales achievement
  • Be able to comply with all company and manufacturer’s disciplines, procedures and reporting analysis
  • Enjoy working within and contribute to our existing professional retail

Technicians required

OTE £25,000-£38,000 dependent on ability inc. bonus & overtime

Service, qualified and master technician grades required for Maidenhead and Slough locations

Windrush is an expanding Volkswagen retailer with an established reputation for quality, reliability and service standards, which are a direct result of our committed and loyal team of employees. As part of our ongoing growth, we are currently looking for highly professional and experienced Technicians for both our Maidenhead and Slough locations.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Servicing and repair of new and used cars, investigative checks and advisory support – completed to the highest professional standards within set deadlines

The ideal applicants will:

  • Have a stable and progressive career within a quality dealership (Volkswagen experience useful but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills in all activities to ensure that all aspects of your role are completed carefully and accurately to agreed schedules for customers
  • Be keen to join a professional team in a progressive organisation that recognises and rewards commitment as well as providing you with the opportunities to develop with us.

Apprentice required

A great opportunity! We are looking for an individual who is seeking a rewarding career in the motor trade. If you have at least three GCSEs at grade ‘C’ and above including Maths, Science and English you could join our Apprenticeship Scheme and receive excellent training leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

Weekend Showroom Host

We have a vacancy for an exceptional Weekend Host for our newly developed Maidenhead showrooms

The successful applicant will join our sales team and be the first point of contact for our clients.
You will need to be able to demonstrate first class personal presentation skills, have a confident and professional approach together with the ability and high personal standards required to work for our prestigious company.

As this role is customer facing, your responsibilities will include:

  • Meet and greet clients
  • Provide excellent and attentive hosting to all clients arriving at our showroom
  • Manage waiting times for each client
  • Provide and serving refreshments

Weekend requirements only
Saturday 8.45am - 5pm
Sunday 9.45am - 4pm

Salary: £10 per hour.
